Every time I try to change the preset kit, Logic stops responding for at least 30 seconds at a time, and it's completely killed off any workflow I could've had. Just like in yours, the samples are "missing" and pressing to locate them just shows me all the samples but in folders that dont have corresponding names, meaning I can't find the samples I used for the project. Now when I open the project, Logic stops responding for 30 seconds or so, then asks me to download additional content, says it's been successful and then wont play any sounds.
The bigger problem for me is I was in the middle of a project where I had already used Ultrabeat for the entire song. Now lo and behold, Ultrabeat has stopped working. Updated to Catalina (late, I know), updated logic and moved the sound library and downloaded all of the remaining samples and sounds that I wasnt able to fit when the library was on the computers internal drive. I figured I was finally gonna update everything and move my sound library to an external drive to make my workflow easier by clearing space off my mac. Is there a way to only relocate the Ultrabeat samples on my hard drive to their original location without moving the entire sound library? Or remapping only the Ultrabeat plugin without having to individually reload samples for presets with mismatched names? Seems like the Ultrabeat plugin is not looking in the right place for the samples because everything works if I manually load an individual sample from the relocated sound library. I've followed the steps listed here without any success solving this problem: h However, the sample names do not match the plug-in preset names, and this problem exists for every Ultrabeat electronic drum kit preset. If I click where Ultrabeat shows the sample is "Missing.", choose "Load Sample", and navigate to the location on my hard drive where I relocated the sound library, I can successfully load the sample. When I open the Ultrabeat plug-in after selecting an electronic drum kit, all the samples are missing. All of my Logic Pro X sounds work correctly after relocating my sound library, except for Ultrabeat samples. A thread already exists with this exact same problem but was locked without a solution:
